Yippeee! The new firefox is there! It comes i a complete different look, for example the Forwards/ Backwards buttons. All icons in the navigation Bar have also changed. I apologize for the bad picture Quality, but was not able to get a better picture on Google images...
Actually I havent found any major changes, exept of the address bar:
when you type in a letter, firefox automatically filters out your recent visited sites, containig this specific letter. So whats special about that?
As you know from other browsers, they only filter out the websites you have typed in. Firefox 3 filters out all websites you've opened! It doesnt matter if you've typed it in or not. Another cool innovation is the text marking. It doesnt mark the text in a complete Color bar, it just changes the color of the letters in light blue, but this only worked on one website yet.
Anyway, it looks a little bit cleaner and more modern than the old version, because it has a brighter color and they mixed up the shapes, for example the Forward/ Backward buttons: back is round, forward is square with round sides. This give it a much better look.
Here is a tip, that most of you don't know: Disable the DOM storage function.
The next generation cookies, called DOM cookies, can take up to 5 mb's of storage, and i've heard, that you cant delete them easyly. Here is the way to disable the storage:
Type in about:config in the address bar of firefox
If a warning appears, simply click on I'll be careful, I promise
Then you look for the entry dom.storage.enabled, and look at the Value (on the right side of the entry)
If it says false you're set, if it says True you just right click the enty, and click Toggle.
Now it should say false, and you can surf without saving those DOM Beasts.
hope this helped y'all
